Renewable Energy

We have successfully completed two renewable energy projects in Maharashtra. The first project is a 6.1 MW windmill project executed by Suzlon, and the second one is a 4.5 MW project by Regen, totaling 10.6 MW of renewable energy capacity. Both projects have been registered with the UNFCCC in Germany for Carbon Credit benefits, which can be availed globally.

Additionally, we are continually expanding our renewable energy portfolio and plan to add a new 1.5 MW wind power project every year. In the woven sacks sector, PPL ranks as one of the top contributors to wind energy in the country. As part of our future plans, we aim to convert our factory’s power source to windmill captive type next year. 

Furthermore, we have a 3.1 MW solar power captive project that was installed during 2016 17 in PPL Unit II. The project features both Suzlon (Geared MC) wind turbines with a capacity of 0.6 MW and 1.25 MW, as well as Regen (Gearless WTG) wind turbines with a capacity of 1.5 MW.
